A nonprofit in New York, www.greendemolitions.org, rips out kitchens for remodelers, offers them a donation for the charitable gift, and then sells the semi-complete kitchens (which may include appliances, counter tops, hardware, cabinets and sinks) far below market value. It’s a pretty nifty idea both for philanthropy and greening up your remodel.
