going organic via home delivery
Time strapped and have Domino’s on speed dial?
This is a handy way to bring organic fruits and veggies home without the trek to the grocery store — and, at least in Orlando, at a lower cost than the supermarket:

They bundle what is in season and fresh, so the options vary each week. But with one small registration fee, you can have organics delivered directly to your home and choose your bundle weekly. Delivery is free after registration.
I’m sure Washington state, Oregon and California are way ahead of us on this but I’d be interested to hear if your local community entrepreneurs offer this service. This one appears to be Orlando’s first and my neighborhood’s only.
There may be some question about the gas involved to drop off the greenery but I have to imagine that one person delivering to dozens of folks a week will consume less gas than all of us traipsing out our individual stores.
