If you are in the market for Kraftmaid cabinets, aren’t in a hurry, are a bit flexible and live in the Midwest or are willing to trust a seasoned cabinet-buying pro, you might check out Jamie at http://www.cabinetwarehouseoutlet.com/.
He lives near the Kraftmaid outlet, which according to testimonials, is hard to navigate, has a lottery system for entry every Saturday that turns away folks, and also offers HUGE discounts – 50 to 80% discounts from retail prices at the big box stores.
He gave these examples of prices: A Lazy Susan base cabinets can run $800 at the store but he has found them for $30 to $95 at the outlet. One client was quoted $15,000 for his complete kitchen set at a big box store but all costs, including Jamie’s services, amounted to less than $4,000.
If you already purchased your cabinets, he can also pick up the evil-y expensive trim for you at $4 for 8 feet, which runs at least $20 to $50 elsewhere. You may not find everything you wish in the style/finish you want, especially if you’re moving quickly on a remodel, but you can always pick the odd pieces up locally.
An art-teacher-by-weekday/cabinet-buyer-by-weekend, Jamie will purchase for you, hang on to them for delivery or pickup in Ohio, and also offers a guidebook which includes a map of where every style is in their warehouses. His feedback on E-bay (for the guidebook and/or shopping services) is very strong, and he only contracts with two clients at a time.
I’ve noticed that ginger glaze maple seems widely available and was pleased to see he secured a large order of oatmeal glaze. I did not see moss glaze but I’m only using that for the island.
He suggests planning ahead as inventory changes weekly, and he has a waiting list. I plan to get to know Jamie very well in the summer and fall, and will report back. I may even enjoy the trip to Ohio to pick them up, knowing how much I’ve saved.
You can check out Kraftmaid’s options at Home Depot, Lowes or www.kraftmaid.com. They will send you a free catalog of all options.
If you’ve used him or if you decide to do so after reviewing his website and chatting with him via phone, let us know how it goes.

Id like a phone number where you can be reached to talk to. Aso the names and colors are named differantly at Home depot and lowes. so how do you get that right
I have found a local manufacturer call Fashion Cabinets for my kitchen cabinets and they offer alot of color and styles to choose from, I also felt the quality was higher than those of Home Depot or Lowes.
